Still not live and I'm sick
Had to redo a whole bunch of pages in order to keep the images folder to a reasonable size, that was busy work, yuck.
And woke up this morning at 3am with a terrible cold...I look in the medicine cabinet and find that I have Nyquil and Dayquil. What to do in the middle of the night, considering I have a lot of stuff to do at work the next day? So I take Dayquil and fall back asleep within the hour (whew). I think this is going to be the worst day of the cold, but I medded up so I could get to work.
Last night was a big production night, in order to ramp up for the upcoming distribution deal. I needed to get x number of each product ready to ship out to the distributor. Because of packaging, this takes an enormous amount of time (about 5 hours last night, and only about 1/2 done). The good news is I'm catching up on some DVR'd shows while I'm productioning, I'm done with the first three episodes of Private Practice (boy is it ever weepy) and all caught up on Prison Break (which in season three is a pale attempt at redoing the much better but very very similar season 1).
And I'm getting a little tired of the primary stuff now. As a political junkie, I didn't think that could happen, but it really seems like we're not going to have a clear frontrunner on either side until Super Tuesday (Feb. 5). I just got my California primary ballot in the mail, and I'm actually glad I have until February 5th...I don't want to waste my vote on a candidate that might not be a viable winner on the 5th. I hope we see some more dropouts soon, that'll make the choice clearer. I know who I absolutely won't vote for, but you can't put that down when you vote...
Also, I finished pretty much everything for Rapscallion production, just waiting on the translation now in order to submit it all. Everything is on target for a Mid-march release!

Well, almost updated...
Okay, so the site wasn't ready to go live on Monday (the 14th) as I had hoped. All my evening hours have been spent tweaking and modifying the site so that it's just right, removing a whole bunch of junk and redoing everything so that pages load faster, the navigation is better, and that the site looks more corporate. 'cause everyone likes corporate, right?
That said, the site won't be going live for a while, possibly not even today. A few things just won't be done when I put the site up live, just because they're really time consuming:
1) Front page "ads" with new products, links to B2P, etc. Right now it's just a generic welcome page, which is okay but not all that great.
2) Fixed game logos and graphics. Switching from a white background to a black one means that all sorts of graphics don't look quite right. I have to fix them all individually, and that's a slow process.
3) Details on the store locations/distribution stuff. Waiting for my new distributor to announce before I can do this...
I just received my shrinkwrap machine yesterday, so that packages from Bezier Games will be nice and shrinkied. Still getting the hang of it, there's definitely a learning curve involved. And it's not really a machine, it's more of a combination of things...a base for the wrap to sit on while it unrolls, a "sealer" that seals up edges nice and tight, the shrink wrap itself, which comes in huge rolls, and a heat gun for doing the shrinking. It's more time consuming than I thought it would be too. Though I have to say, the shrinking process is pretty cool.

Site updated!
I've been working on the new version of the site for a while now, and I'm finally ready to have it out and working! This is my first attempt at regular blogging, I'm hoping I can keep up with it, with all the other things going on (work, playing games, designing games, Bezier Games responsibilities, kids, and general other stuff).
